Junior Program
The GMJBA Junior Baseball program is the largest part of the organization. It is made up of kids 8 - 14 years of age who are separated first according to age and then according to skill level.
The divisions within age groups are described as follows:
Zero (0) Flight:
This is the highest level of baseball offered by GMJBA and JCJBL. Teams will have a busy schedule as they play frequently in JCJBL sanctioned games (16 - 24) and numerous tournaments, both in and out of state. The 8 year old team at this level is a Roberto Clemente League Team. All teams at this level may qualify for state and national championships.
First (1) Flight:
Players at this level will play a 12 - 16 game JCJBL schedule and in many tournaments throughout the state, although typically, not as many as a zero flight team. All teams at this level may qualify for state and national championships.
Second (2) Flight:
Players at this level will play a 12 - 16 game JCJBL schedule and in various invitational tournaments throughout the state, although typically, not as many as a first flight team. All teams at this level may qualify for state championships and national invitational championships.
Third (3) Flight:
Players at this level will play a 12 - 16 game JCJBL schedule and while there are tournament opportunities for these teams, they are usually league teams. All teams at this level may qualify for state championships and national invitational championships.
